Thoughts on the Fixtures Ahead - Part 2

Let's get started with the remaining fixtures and see what is happening there:

Chelsea v West Bromwich Albion

First of all, Torres looked sharp against Stoke City. He had a shot on target and won a couple corners - not too great for a striker - but an improvement. Apart from that, they looked good but could not deliver. Then again, Brittania stadium is a tough place to play at for any visitors. At home to West Brom, however, should be an entirely different story. News have just come in that Petr Cech is injured which does make Chelsea defenders less attractive but worth it with easy fixtures ahead.
Player to watch: Torres.
Dark Horse player: Malouda.

West Brom can expect Odemwingie to play against Chelsea which, in addition to the injury to Cech, should be great news for West Brom fans. Shane Long was absolutely fantastic against Man United last week and there is no reason why he wouldn't repeat that performance. And if Odemwingie plays, West Brom really stand a chance however, I am still predicting a Chelsea win.
Player to watch: Shane Long.Dark Horse player: Brunt.

Norwich Stoke City

I don't have much to say about either teams here. They were both fairly mediocre although, to be fair, I guess Stoke were a little better getting a draw against Chelsea. But then again, to be fair - again, Norwich had their first game in the Premier League away against Wigan and they scored once. Can't really say anything or pick one of these.
Players to watch: Hoolahan and Woodgate.Dark Horse players: Holt and Begovic.

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Fulham

Wolves did well against Blackburn, getting a win on the road but it can be said that they were only a little better than Blackburn, who were fairly dismal. There wasn't much to do for either Goalkeepers and when there was, they let the ball in. Jarvis performed well alongside Fletcher and Hunt but that's about it.
Player to Watch: Matt Jarvis.Dark Horse player: Stephen Hunt.

Fulham were rock solid against Aston Villa. I really liked the Fulham defence which worked very well except Senderos. Senderos was the weak link and I think more teams will be looking to exploit that spot. Regardless, with the addition of Riise, they have an attacking full back and added experience. I like Fulham's chances in this game even though people are claiming that this is the season Wolves will rise and shine. I don't disagree, I just don't think it will be this game.
Player to Watch: Bobby Zamora.Dark Horse player: J. Riise

Bolton Wanderers v Manchester City

Ah! What can be said about this game. Bolton had a terrific start against a newly promoted QPR and same goes for Manchester City. Klasnic was very good for Bolton but it stands to see how effective he will be against Man C. Aguero is expected to start and that can only mean a very good morale for Man C. With Silva, Toure, Dzeko and Richards all fit and ready to go, there's just too much going for Man C. Add to that the possibility of Tevez playing and you have to go for a Man C win.
Players to watch: Almost all Man C players and Klasnic and Jaakelainen.

Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspurs

Man U didn't look at their best against West Brom and that was partly due to the high expectations set for Cleverley and Welbeck who didn't play as well as they did in the Community shield. Cleverley is still expected to start although we might see Berbatov start instead of Welbeck. Anyway, the major concern for Man U is their defence and I predict a back four of Evra, Jones, Smalling and Fabio. A Man U win, inspite of their dodgy backline, looks like a sound bet.
Player to watch: Rooney. Dark Horse player: Smalling.

Not much can be said of Spurs. We can expect VdV and Bale at the top of their game although we can only truly say anything after their Europa League game against Hearts today.
Player to watch: Vdv and Bale.Dark Horse player: Lennon?

Well, that's it for now. You can expect player picks very soon. That will probably be the most important of all the posts.
